How long before the event should I book?

Generally no later than 7 days. The earlier the better!

Please be aware the later you make you enquiry the less likely it is that I will be available. I also have a policy that I need to retain full payment upfront for any bookings that come later than 2 weeks prior to the event.

What is the minimum performance time?

I can perform for any specified time but I do have some minimum costs. I can perform for 30 minutes all the way up to 4 hours.

How much do you charge?

I have different packages depending on your requirements. Send me the details of your enquiry with the form below & I get back you asap with an estimation.

How long is the performance?

I have a variety of Set structures appropriate for all manner of events. Different events flow differently, so I remain flexible with the scheduling.

For Solo & Small Ensemble Performances you can expect up to 90 Minutes total of Playing with breaks. For example 3 x 30 minute sets.

For Dj & Sax Performance the Set can be up to 4 Hours of Continuous Music.

I am!

I hold a Bachelor Of Music Majoring in Performance & a Bachelor of Arts from UNSW Australia.

I have over 20 years of experience in the Music, Music Technology, Entertainment & Events Industry.

I am also the Director of my own events Company which I founded 10 years ago.

I have a UAE Certified Business License.

What is the booking process?

1. Send your Enquiry via the Online Booking Form below.

2. We will clarify All the Necessary Details Via Email or Over the Phone.

3. Retain a Price Quote & Invoice.

4. I will send a Card Payment Link. Pay a 50% Deposit to Confirm the Booking & Block the date in my Calendar.

5. Pay the final 50% on the Day of the Performance at Soundcheck/Setup Time.

6. Enjoy the Performance 🙂

Why do you need a deposit?

When I retain a deposit I know you are serious in having me at your event.

You know I’m committed to being there as I block the date & time it my calendar specifically for you!

The deposit is paid to establish a financial contract & officially block my dates for your event.

I get a lot of enquiries & by paying a deposit you secure me for the date of your event & I ensure that I remain available for your special occasion.

What Styles do you play?

I can play a variety of styles of Music including:

Jazz, Classical, Soul, Blues, Popular Music, House Music, Top 40 Hits & other Contemporary & Commercial Music.

When Playing with a Band & as a Dj I can be more eclectic with my repertoire.

When Playing Solo my repertoire is more focused.

Can I request songs?

You certainly can!

Depending on the specifics of the booking I can take a number of requests. If I am DJing then you can send me a comprehensive list of the songs or artists you would like played during your event. It is much easier for me to meet detailed requests when I am hired to also Dj. If you have a substantial song list you want met this is probably your ideal option.

Requests are best done before the event rather than during it!

When performing Solo Saxophone only it is more challenging for me to meet all requests. What I generally do is send through a song list of songs I usually perform & you can select from there. You can suggest several specific songs for Wedding Ceremonies of other significant moments and I’ll confirm with you if they are possible..

Although I remain flexible on requests if I &/or my Band need to learn lots of songs I need significant notice & it can affect the price due to the preparation & rehearsal time required.

Do you work with other Artists?

I certainly do!

I can recommend some of the best in the business if you need help planning your music.

I work with other Musicians, Djs, Bands, Producers, Artists, A/V suppliers & often collaborate with Event specialists both in the UAE & Internationally. I also collaborate on Music Production & Music Education projects regularly.

I am extremely versatile & thus can work with other Artists or Teams.

Please note I have specific requirements for this kind of collaboration & it can affect the cost & contractual details of the agreement.

Do you supply your own equipment?

I certainly do!

I have my own high quality equipment Including Speakers, Dj equipment, Microphones & will ensure it is managed professionally throughout the entire event.

Unfortunately all too often events are ruined by poor quality & badly managed sound systems. I use only quality equipment & ensure that the setup is done discreetly, on time & that the management of the system is of the highest standard.

If the event is small I will manage the systems myself. For larger events I will have an accomplished team to help me setup, manage & packdown. I can supply Staging, Audio & Lighting equipment for small, medium and large events.

My event is in the UAE. Are there any permits required?

There may be depending on where the event is being held & whether it is private or public.

Some UAE & International events require certain permits due to regulations around live performance & event regulations . These may be culture permits, event permits, royalties associated registrations &/or other administrative procedures. These may or may not require certain fees.

Generally speaking it should be a priority to confirm no permits or administrative procedures are required prior to making a booking request.

Do you perform Internationally?

Yes I do!

Although I am based in Dubai I perform regularly internationally & am available to be booked in most countries with due notice.

I have specific requirements related to fees, travel, accomodation, security & equipment setup for International engagements.

What if my event is cancelled?

If your event is cancelled due to a Force Majeure event I will return your deposit. Cancellations for other reasons will be subject to cancellation charges as laid out on the official Quote & Invoice.
